The Art-Box Lot

THE ART-BOX LOT

The Art -Box Lot is a temporary lot beautification project in the Frog Hollow neighborhood. It will include an Art-box installation, runnels, rain garden, and mural.  The goal is to provide a safe, engaging and healthy space for pedestrians and residents.

SAFEplay Wolcott St

SAFEPLAY WOLCOTT ST

Frog Hollow SAFE plans to build a playground on a vacant lot using brightly painted tires and wood. Their goal is to create a safe and fun environment for neighborhood kids and families to come together and transform a vacant lot into a utilized space.

In the City for Good

IN THE CITY FOR GOOD

Emanuel Lutheran Church plans to purchase benches made of pallets and have volunteers from the community and church design and paint the benches. The benches will be placed throughout Frog Hollow.

Grant Street Garden

GRAND STREET GARDEN

Individuals from the Muhammad Islamic Center of Greater Hartford plan to make improvements to their community garden and host educational events that promote health and wellness. Their goals for the project include beautifying the neighborhood and facilitating leadership and educational opportunities for community members.

Wolcott Street Mural

WOLCOTT STREET MURAL

Frog Hollow SAFE will work with a local artist and Wolcott Street residents to design a mural which will be placed on the side of a Wolcott Street building. Their goals are to beautify the area, make it safer, and increase community pride.
